Vickers Moving Service is a family-owned company run right out of Houston. Founder Alan Vickers opened up in 1993 with one truck, a couple of movers, and one rule that still runs the place: quote a fair flat price, staff every job with our own people rather than a broker or a day-labor pickup, and treat each load as if it were ours.
Three decades later, we run nine marked trucks and a background-checked crew who know this city inside out, the raised front steps and boxed-in stairs of the Heights bungalows, the loading zones along the Montrose one-ways, the certificate of insurance and freight-elevator windows at the Galleria and Medical Center towers, and the long summer heat that means wrapping and hydrating on every job. That sort of local know-how is what makes a long day run smoothly.
