Alan and his crew did a great job on my office move! Originally I had scheduled with another moving company, but the building we were moving out of stopped their crew in the process because they hadn't protected the walls and floors sufficiently. This put us in a bind because we needed to be out by the end of the month, which was only 2 days away. So I looked on Yelp and called Vickers. Alan coordinated the insurance with the building management and they came that night and completed the move for us! Very professional. Showed up exactly when they said, worked quickly and efficiently, even stored our stuff on their truck overnight and delivered it first thing in the morning. I didn't have to worry about anything, which I am very grateful for. Five stars. I recommend them highly.

Do these guys need another positive review? This was such a stressful time for me but the minute the crew showed up, I knew the day would go smooth. They are the consummate professionals. They moved from sun up and way past sun down and their great attitude and energy level seriously never changed. There are movers and there are professionals who have it down to a science. The cost per hour may be slightly higher, but you will save money when they get it done in much less time and in the right place with no damage and no marked up walls. I could never use anyone else to move. Thank you to Gonzalo and his whole team!
I have to say, I've never used a professional moving company before and I really didn't know what to expect. Now I do! I expect a friendly front office staff, a fast, helpful and friendly moving crew, and I expect my things to get where I need them to go without incident. I moved my 3 bedroom house to storage while I waited for my new house to be completed. I got exactly what I wanted from Vickers Moving. Sarah came by and looked at what we needed moved. She was very helpful determining what we needed and the time we could expect to spend moving. Saturday came around and Juan and the crew greeted me with a friendly smile. Juan and team were the best. They helped me pack, they provided packing material and they made sure I didn't miss anything. I definitely plan to use these guys when I move out of storage in a couple months. The pricing was awesome, right in line with the other guys in terms of hourly moving, but you get so much more in service and materials. Thank you very much for the help!
I am a real estate agent, and have helped people move for over 15 years. I have always been hesitant to refer anyone to a particular mover, since something usually goes wrong and my clients would blame me. Part of my move involved moving a piano. I asked the piano movers who they thought was the best high-end mover in Houston. They replied Vickers. I am happy to report that this was the best move experience I have ever had. Alan showed up personally to bid out the move. Then he also showed up on move day to supervise everything. He was very hands on. Everything was wrapped and handled with great care. All my pretty things arrived safely and there was not one scratch. The price was on the high end, but completely fair given the professionalism of his team. I would certainly use him again, and will recommend him to all my clients who love their stuff enough to use the very best mover in Houston.
We had such a perfect (yes perfect) moving experience with Alan and company. We did not have an easy job for them and they never showed frustration and were extremely professional throughout the entire process. The pricing was very comparable to other companies, and the previous reviews don't lie, this is the best of the best in Houston moving. Our move consisted of three stops and multiple swaps of very antique, delicate furniture, and they never missed a step and were full speed (in 90 degree weather) the entire ten hour move. They took care of our furniture better than we could have imagined. They showed up on time and followed all directions with a smile. They did not overcharge for anything or try to add extra charges along the way. Two flat screen TVs, glass coffee tables, antique china cabinets, mirrors from the early 1900s and much, much more, all moved with the hourly charge plus the materials they used. The end price was exactly what Alan quoted me. Honest, legit, hard working people. Do yourself a favor and hire Alan and his team, worth every penny!
Vickers was an excellent moving company! We saw their reviews on Yelp and they lived up to everything anyone had said about them. They were all very professional and so friendly. Sarah came over to assess exactly what we would need, and had a lot of great advice. The day of the move, we had 4 guys plus Sarah all moving stuff and they got us out of our house in record time, and while it was pouring down rain outside. We had some challenges being that we lived in a townhouse trying to get large furniture down, as well as a narrow street, and everyone exceeded our expectations. We relocated to a different city, and everything was done in a day and very efficient. We have since unpacked everything and have zero complaints, no damage, and nothing broken! And you can't beat their pricing. I would highly recommend this company if you are looking for friendly, efficient, and reliable people!
This is a professional moving company. If you wanna pay $99 to have some college kids toss your belongings around, go right ahead. Oh wait, you actually want someone to handle your stuff with care, making sure it is properly protected and loaded into the truck for the trip across town, then unloaded and placed in your new home exactly where you want it? Then I suggest you call Alan. This is the 3rd time we have used Vickers Moving to handle our move. It was a hectic move as my husband was out of town all week and I didn't have time to perfectly pack everything. No worries, the crew brought in wardrobe boxes that made moving the contents of our closets a snap and even disassembled the larger furniture items before wrapping everything and loading it into the truck. When we got to the new place, they asked me where I wanted things and put them in place. They put the furniture back together. They put down mats to keep from tracking dirt into the house. They were quick and efficient. It is well worth the cost to hire them for a move!

I recently moved into a new office and needed to move my furniture in, 2 large desks and a heavy wooden filing cabinet. Sounds simple, but I needed them moved up a very tiny, narrow stairway in a historic Heights home. After scouring the Internet, I decided to book with Vickers Moving because several reviews mentioned them coming through on tough jobs like getting furniture over a balcony. From my first phone call to the end of my move, I was very impressed with Vickers Moving. They showed up early the morning of my move, and were very friendly and patient. When it came time to move my largest desk in, it wouldn't fit up the stairs so the owner ended up coming out himself to assess the situation. They had to come back later that night with more people, but 2 hours, many ropes and 8 movers later my desk was literally hoisted vertically through the stairwell. It was a sight to behold! All in all, I had a great experience and would not hesitate to recommend Vickers. If you are looking for a professional company with a higher end moving experience, not one scratch on my walls or furniture, this is the one.
Another great move with Vickers Moving! This was my second move with this company and I could not be more pleased. The communication was excellent, the bid was exact, they arrived on time, the men were experienced and listened, doing things one time and done. The quality of the move was perfect with my belongings undamaged and the furniture reassembled well.
Vickers Moving Service made this my best move ever! I moved within the same apartment complex and then needed excess furniture brought to a storage unit. They were totally professional, arrived promptly at the scheduled time, and got through the job without a single scratch to any of my things. They were very efficient with their time, treated everything with care and asked me if they weren't sure how I wanted something handled. They moved my furniture around a couple different ways until I was happy with the placement. This was the least stressed I've ever been in a move. I will definitely call them again.
I have used Vickers to move three times now. There isn't a more reliable and professional mover in Houston. They arrive on time and the price quoted has always been spot on. Nothing's ever been damaged and I've never had to lift a finger. Yesterday a very dear friend of mine needed to have a small piece of furniture moved with less than 24 hours notice. Alan and his crew didn't have time but they worked it into their schedule anyway. I highly recommend.
We just used Vickers Moving again. I wish I could give them a ten star rating because that's what they deserve! I believe this is the 6th move we've done with Alan, house moves, office moves, moving kids to apartments, and they have consistently done an outstanding job even with our more challenging moves. This most recent move was a long distance house move and included moving numerous boxes of fragile crystal and china as well as some very delicate pieces of furniture. Not a single broken, scratched or damaged item. As usual, the team was professional, conscientious and great at their job. They don't mess around or drag their feet. The total cost was absolutely fair and reasonable. A special shoutout to Gonzalo, Alex and Brandon. Bottomline, Vickers Moving is the real deal, professional movers, not a sales guy with a bunch of day labor brought in to help with a move. They are the best and I highly recommend them.
I hired Vickers Moving Service to move our heavy concrete table and benches from our old backyard to our new one. They were able to fit us in within a few days, and it only took an hour! Sarah helped set everything up on the phone and the crew she sent over worked fast to get all the pieces into the truck and over to the new place in record time. Their hourly rate is a little higher than other companies, but there was no minimum time charge, no trip fee, and it didn't matter what day we scheduled for, so it ended up costing less! I definitely recommend them, and if I ever move again, I'll be giving them a call.
I'll just echo what everyone else has said, they are fantastic. Extremely polite, punctual and efficient. Very careful with all my belongings and quick. Worth the slightly higher hourly rate. They were also so accommodating moving me from essentially Montrose on a busy summer festival Saturday. I feel like anyone else would have been frustrated or straight up walked away when my awful complex locked the big driveway gates, but they took it in stride and worked around the stairs to use the pedestrian gate. Definitely worth 5 stars and I will be recommending to all my friends.
Great experience with Alan and his crew! Had a couch delivered that didn't fit around the stair case in my townhouse. Alan personally came to my place to check it out, before saying whether they could or couldn't fit it from the balcony. They took good care and moved it in from the balcony. Very nice and quick! Highly recommend them!
Great company! Sarah was wonderful and helpful when she came out to look at our stuff and house. The price quoted was very competitive and fair. The crew arrived on time and were all extremely professional and courteous. They never hesitated in moving furniture around when we got to the new house. Even my mother-in-law, who has moved overseas several times and used many moving companies, was incredibly impressed. Would highly recommend this fantastic family-owned company.
I have personally used Vickers to move 6 times since the '90s. Several of these moves were to place items into storage when we moved out for renovations. In addition to assisting with personal moves, Alan has helped me move items to a charity auction and most recently helped us move extremely heavy file cabinets within our school building. I have used this company for years and would not consider using anyone else. Over my numerous contacts with Alan and his crew, I have always received prompt attention, careful service and efficient effort. In all of my moves over 22+ years, personal or work, nothing has ever been damaged. I am so appreciative of this company and would never use anyone else!
We hired a 3 man crew to move our belongings from our apartment to a POD for long term storage while we are out of the country. They were fantastic! They arrived promptly and immediately got to work. Their quick yet careful work had our POD loaded in just over two hours. Everything is neatly organized, and they were so courteous. When we return, they will definitely be getting another call. Finding a good moving company can be a challenge, but Vickers is certainly one of them!
Hired them the Thursday before Easter. What a great experience! They handle everything with care and they do it quickly. Furniture was taken apart and reassembled professionally. The estimate was dead on accurate. You cannot ask for a better moving company. I will use their services again.

The best movers I have ever used. I was moving from one apartment to another in the same building. I paid for three movers for three hours and four showed up. They were super fast, clean, and completely professional. They even found 22 cents in the couch which I was given. On a scale of 1 to 10, these guys are a 12.
Alan Vickers was extremely professional and did a great job with my move this weekend. I moved from an apartment to a townhome with minimal furniture but there were stairs involved so it was not easy, but the Vickers team did a great job! I had a 3 man crew and they were very efficient. I highly recommend this company for any of your moving needs.
We used Vickers to move some of Mom's furniture and household items to a storage unit. They were on time, pleasant to be around, and very efficient. The owner even stopped in to make sure our move was heading in the right direction for both his team and us. This was service above and beyond expected. It was amazing how much they got into the storage unit while leaving access for us to get to records and items we might need. Their prices were a bit higher than some others quoted, but the extra cost was worth it as the day went so smoothly and Mom's things were treated with kid gloves. I highly recommend this company and will hire them again if needed.
We will never use anyone but Vickers Moving after this move. Alan set my expectations, gave me moving pointers, and there were no surprises in the costs. The crew was on time, courteous, and very respectful of our belongings. They spent 2 solid days packing and boxing, then filling 2 truckloads for the move in the blinding Texas heat. Alan Vickers and his team are simply amazing. Alan came to the house and did a personal visit and evaluation of the best approach to move our 3-story, 2,700 sq ft town home. He was personable and responsive as well as committed to excellence. The team of movers showed up right on time as promised and Alan himself made an appearance to make sure my mind was at ease. Eric and his crew were the best I've ever worked with. This was my 5th home move over the years. Nothing was broken! They were friendly and accommodating. We came in just a hair over the estimated amount which I was fine with. I'll be referring them to everyone I know.

This company was great. They were punctual, took wonderful care of my things, and came in under the time that they quoted. Sarah even came by to meet me in the middle of the move and see how everything was going. I really didn't think service like this still existed.
We had never hired a professional moving company before. Being faced with having to move everything out of a full storage unit, plus a one bedroom apartment, all into a two bedroom townhouse seemed very overwhelming. I contacted Vickers Moving Service a week and a half before the move and Sarah was able to quote and schedule the move that very same day. It was a very hectic, but good move. Everything with the crew of guys went very smoothly. They were very nice and so polite! If they moved something that was previously damaged or saw something that needed my attention, they did not hesitate to let me know right away. All three guys worked very hard and very efficiently. The three of them moved all our belongings out of storage in less time than it took my family and friends of about eight to move into that same storage unit. The guys were truly awesome and we definitely will recommend Vickers Moving Service over and over again!
